Jason on the Issues
“The Georgia Senate desperately needs fresh energy and new ideas. I’m running to offer thoughtful, creative solutions to the challenges facing our community.”
-
Jobs
Georgia must actively partner with health care, education, logistics and tourism/hospitality industries to build on our past successes and leadership role in those areas, and work with our other existing businesses to help them expand.
-
Education
We can't afford to play politics with our children's education. In the Peace Corps and in this community, I've spent years working to reform education. I know that a quality education is biggest determinant of our children’s future success -- as well as our state’s.
-
Transportation
Congestion harms our efforts to recruit businesses considering locating in Georgia. With the region's population projected to increase significantly in the coming decade, we cannot afford to procrastinate on transportation planning and infrastructure.
-
Water
Georgians have seen water supply reservoirs drop dramatically in drought conditions, falling below 50 percent capacity in some cases. A region historically blessed with abundant water is now facing shortages due to growing populations, rapid development, mismanagement and extended droughts.

District 42
I love this community. I was born here, and it has always brought me back home. We're all passionate about this area and share a strong sense of pride in our community. Yet, we also know there is much more to be accomplished in our district and our state.
